In accordance with our stated cost policy, approximately 70% of every dollar received directly funds programmatic survivor relief—including emergency gas transportation cards, transitional shelter stays, and rapid rehousing start-over packages—with 30% supporting essential administrative governance, financial accounting, and regulatory compliance.
A Gas Card
Funds an emergency $25 fuel card so a survivor has reliable transportation to work, custody hearings, and safe housing.
A Start Over Bin
Supplies household essentials to turn an empty shelter transition room into a liveable home: cookware, clean linens, towels, and basic pantry supplies.
A Laptop
Purchases a dedicated laptop computer enabling survivors to apply for employment, complete remote coursework, and access legal documentation safely.
Why monthly matters: Survivors don't arrive on a schedule. Recurring gifts are what let us say yes in the exact week someone actually leaves.
Who We Are
Christy's Champs, Inc. is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by International Boxing Hall of Famer Christy Martin, who survived twenty years of domestic abuse. We provide direct material aid and pathways to independence for survivors and their children across Florida, North Carolina, and West Virginia. Financial contributions are federal income tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law, with approximately 70% of funds directly providing emergency survivor relief and 30% supporting required governance and compliance.

Christy’s Champs created “Fueling a Fresh Start” to help survivors and their families get where they need to go as they rebuild their lives. You donate $25 or more - We do the rest Christy’s Champs will purchase a gas card on your behalf and provide it to a survivor or family in need. Your donation will put a gas card directly into the hands of a survivor who may need transportation to get to work, school, counseling, medical appointments, court, safe housing, or simply begin creating a new life. You may never know the survivor whose life you helped move forward — but they will know someone cared enough to help.💜
